Brisighella (RA)
Emilia-Romagna
The hills of Brisighella, its woods and the landscapes of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola are not just a backdrop: they are an integral part of the character of our honeys.
Emilia-Romagna
In the Lamone Valley, Brisighella is known for its three gypsum hills, topped by the Rocca (fortress), the Clock Tower and the Sanctuary of Monticino.
Its most iconic attraction is the Via degli Asini (Donkeys' Road), a raised, covered street dating back to the 12th century.
The village is also famous for its excellent PDO olive oil, the first in Italy to receive this designation.
It was officially recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in September 2023, as part of the serial site “Evaporitic Karst and Caves of Northern Apennines”.
It is the only mountain ridge in Europe made almost entirely of selenite gypsum crystals.
Set in the heart of Romagna, Brisighella offers a perfect microclimate for our bees. Being close to the Vena del Gesso Regional Park ensures extraordinary biodiversity, far from the pollution of big cities.
The wild blossoms of the badlands and the ancient woods are reflected in the aromatic complexity of our honeys, making every jar a true expression of the landscape.
